Wheel thrown bulb vases with a trimmed foot ring are glazed in an alpine rose coloured glaze and oxidation fired to cone 6. The scalloped edge detail is hand carved into the thrown piece. Food safe and dishwasher safe these vases are designed for forcing bulbs such as hyacinth or paperwhites, the little "bowl" at the top of the vase holds the bulb while roots grown down into the water below, the vase can also be used for fresh or dried flowers.
