ABOUT
Herbarium Studio and Gardens is a micro flower farm and studio in Creston BC, the traditional home and unceded territory of the yaqan nukiy people.
Herbarium is owned and operated by Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist and Artist, Jess Stacey, offering seasonal bouquet subscriptions, dried florals, bouquet preservation services and an assortment of handmade items including pottery, paintings, cards, wreaths and other decor and gift items.
Our philosophy is to work in tandem with the changing seasons offering only the best of locally grown flowers, allowing our customers to connect with the rhythms of the season and feel good about their purchase knowing it supports their local community and agriculture.
When it comes to gardening we incorporate low impact practices as much as possible, our horticulture style draws from regenerative and organic farming practices, never using synthetic pesticides and doing our best to be stewards of the land. We manage our gardens with almost no use of fossil fuels, we are a small 1.25 acre farm with all the planting, cultivation, harvest and weeding done manually. We grow a handful of native species of perennials and shrubs in amongst our cutting gardens to encourage pollinators and support native insects and birds.
Herbarium offers a wide range of creative workshops intended to educate, inspire and build community. We love collaborating and welcome other entrepreneurs to approach us with workshop concepts or product collaborations.
Inclusivity Policy: Everyone is welcome at Herbarium. We believe that every single person deserves access to the benefits of Art & Horticulture.
