Summer Solstice Creative Retreat

Welcome to the Summer Solstice Creative Retreat! 

Saturday June 21st & Sunday 22nd

Immerse yourself in two full days of guided workshops from local artists Laura Bifano (http://laurabifano.com) and Jess Stacey (https://herbariumstudioandgardens.ca/). Together we'll tackle a wide array of subject matter: from tranquil rivers to rolling fields and mountains to stunning June flowers.

The retreat includes a total of five 3-hour painting sessions, each focused on a specific skill or technique, and each at a curated location across the Creston Valley, including one session hosted by Jaye Benoit at her newly opened 'Yellowbird School of Art'. (https://www.yellowbirdschool.ca/)

Sessions skills and techniques include: composition, plein air techniques, working with gouache, painting detailed florals in acrylic, textured acrylic backgrounds, still life in oil, painting soft edges and more.

Connect with a group of like-minded individuals as we expand our skills and learn together in this beautiful valley that provides so much inspiration for this retreat.

Class size limited to 12. All skill levels are welcome. Must be 18 years of age or older. Some light walking required to reach painting locations.
