You'll learn how to prepare fabric for dyeing and two methods to capture colour on cloth using botanical dye plants grown in our gardens. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a two part workshop:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFriday Aug 21st, 7:00-8:30pm Part one: Mordanting and prepping cloth, planning your project.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSunday Aug 23rd 2:00-4:30 pm Part Two: Bundle Dyeing and Garden Tour\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach student needs to bring \u003cstrong\u003eup to 500g\u003c\/strong\u003e of clean and washed fabric. This came be yardage or garments, but must be 100% natural fibres. Cotton, Linen, Silk and Wool work best.  Think tank tops, scarves, kids shirts, baby onsies or one larger item like a shirt or dress. You can bring just one or several pieces but the total weight must not exceed 500g, please weight your fabric!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can purchase silk scarves or cotton bandana's from me if you don't have items on hand that you want to use.
